InsideOut Dance Series
September 19, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm$20
The American Dance Therapy Association defines dance/movement therapy as “the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration of the individual.”
InsideOut Dance Series:
A three part series.
- Women Empowerment
In this series we will explore the theme of women empowerment focused on our body being a resource. You will learn techniques that can help you feel grounded, empowered, reduce nerves + set boundaries. We will also shout out affirmations + journal. The main movement modality is stepping- using our body to create rhythmic patterns. Through stepping we will tap into our inner strength + access our warrior within.
- Connecting to Your Feminine
In this series you will connect with your inner queen through guided movement meditations + creative movement explorations. The main movement modalities are belly + circle dance- which help us connect to our feminine qualities. The qualities of this class are- royal, fluid, feminine, graceful, + relaxation. If you want to connect to your raw authentic self and inner queen, while enjoying soothing moves, this class is for you.
- Letting Go
In this series we will engage in setting intentions, guided meditations, movement explorations focused on the small intestines and journaling. The main movement modality will be “shaking it off.” The structure can include across the floor and circle jams. We will release + renew while breaking it down.
